for you. Many of the region's universitites run modules on enterprise
and entrepreneurship and also offer practical out of curriculum support
to students, graduates and alumni who wish to explore the process of starting
their own business.

The Hatchery at
the University of Sunderland
Offers students and graduates the chance to develop a business idea in
a risk free environment. From idea stage to trading, students from all
schools have access to the free facilities and support for a period
of up to 12 months. The Hatchery also offers a range of courses in business
start-up to provide participants with the basic knowledge required to
set up on their own.

Is managed by the School
of Arts, Design, Media & Culture, at the Universtiy of Sunderland,
and allows new creative businesses to hot desk for up to 2 years. Creativitiworks
offers: business advice and support, a hot desk equipped with PC or Apple
Mac, e-mail and internet access, telephone, desktop printing, photocopying
and use of presentation / meeting room. Creativitiworks companies can
also access external and University academics, agencies and networks,
as well as University facilities and equipment at preferential rates.
